Among home remedies for toothache, garlic contains antibiotic and various other medicinal properties that are able to relieve the pain of toothaches and is a very effective home remedy. It’s simple; you just have to crush a garlic clove and mix it with either black salt or normal salt and apply it on the aching tooth. Repeat this for several days till the pain is gone. You can also chew on 1 or 2 garlic cloves as an alternative option.
Salt and Pepper
As one of the good remedies for toothache, a paste of equal amounts of salt and pepper mixed with a few drops of water is really effective for toothache where you need to apply this on the sensitive tooth. Both salt and pepper have analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Thus by applying it on the tooth and leaving it on for some time your tooth ache will be cured in a few days.
Onions are simple toothache remedies which require you to simply chew on some raw onion for 2-3 minutes. The onion’s antimicrobial and antiseptic properties soothe pain and cure other symptoms by destroying any microbial infection which was causing the toothache. However, if you are unable to chew, then just apply an onion peel on the affected tooth or gum.
Among toothache remedies, there are two methods where guava leaves can be used for toothache – first being to chew on 1 or 2 leaves so that its juice will be spread over the affected tooth. Second is to boil up 5-6 leaves in water and add some salt. Then wait for it to cool down and use it as a mouthwash.
